Operating in South East Asia region, MIWA management and BOWLINE Ltd. for more than a decade, are a multi-faceted management consultancy providing management services and advice to foreign companies with interests or activities in the Philippines and South East Asia.


A separate department is also serving clients with sourcing and backoffice services.


MIWA has an extensive network of qualified legal and financial professionals to assure quality results in undertaking project due diligence, M&A assignments and the establishment of new corporations.


Michael Wistbacka


is Swedish national and graduate of the Stockholm Business School and internship at Harvard in International Leadership, management, strategy and marketing- he has resided in the Philippines since 2006 and has held directorships for Scandinavian, American, French and Hong Kong based companies. Based in Paris for many years before venturing to Asia, Michael has a long and solid experience in change management, greenfield startups, business development for B2B and B2C companies, logistics networks and supply chain management. He is a founding member of the Nordic Business Council Philippines under the EU Chambers of Commerce. He currently holds board positions in 3 companies and served formerly as chairman of the Swedish Guild of Packaging Engineers. He started the Miwa Management Consultants and the intention is to expand with experienced resources and build a strong Management consultancy force able to assist international markets and clients.

Morten Carstensen


Danish citizen, a graduate of Copenhagen Business School, is a driven professional with extensive experience in shipping, retail, accounting, export and distribution services. His vast experience after 18 years of living in the Philippines gives him a solid knowledge of the cultural nuances of doing business here.

Having worked in corporate in the past and started up several companies in the Philippines he can offer a flexible and confident approach to business development.

Leif Moen


graduated from the Forde Engineer School as a Mechanical Engineer in 1975 after completing mechanical and ship building certificates from Technical College Voss in 1968. Mr. Moen has been actively engaged in project management, business consultancy and construction and design for a variety of firms in Europe and Asia between 1975 and 2013. Most recently, Mr. Moen has been engaged in several property development projects in Thailand and the Philippines after fulfilling the CEO position for Backer AS on interim basis in Bergen, Norway. Mr. Moen is a Norwegian national now residing part time in Norway and Asia, able to take on duties and mobile.

Andrew Harvey


A British citizen having over 25 years’ experience as a Contracts Manager and Procurement Specialist in the African and Asia Pacific regions. His experience includes providing legal, contractual and commercial support to the Construction, Telecommunications, Building Services and offshore EPC Oil and Gas industries during both pre and post award of high value complex contracts for International clients, consultants and contractors such as Shell, Total, Inpex, Honda, Franklin + Andrews, Carillion, Kier Build, Costain, Balfour Beatty, Matthew Hall.

Andrew has an honours degree in Quantity Surveying and is professionally qualified by the UK Chartered Institute of Building as a Chartered Construction Manager.

Familiar with working in remote locations in countries such as Nigeria, Malaysia, Singapore, Europe, United States, UK and South Korea with many nationalities, Korean, Nigerian, Chinese, Malay, Indian, French, Italian, American, Dutch etc., Andrew has recently relocated to the Northern Central Region of the Philippines.

Divyang Suresh Honawar


Divyang has a post graduate degree from London Business School and has worked extensively in banking, asset management, fintech and commodities in Asia, Europe, and Africa. He has proven experience managing multi-asset portfolios as a portfolio manager in London, managing an agricultural commodity business in Africa and Indonesia, structuring deals and managing clean energy portfolios. Over the years he has gained experience in investing, developing relationships with banks and fund managers, and running a business. He is based in Manila and supports global clients by leveraging his experience and skills to make an impact and contribute to the client’s on-going success.



Drury Mason


spent five years in the Philippines as an independent investment advisor and private fund manager. He served five years as Assistant Deputy Minister responsible for trade promotion and investment attraction with the Alberta government’s Ministry of International and Intergovernmental Relations where he was responsible for building relationships with foreign governments, and private and public sector organizations to ensure Alberta based companies successfully exported their products and services, attracted international investment, formed strategic international partnerships and furthered their other international and domestic objectives.

Christian Mack


French citizen, spend six year in the Philippines and specializes in Business Development for SME`s possessing multi sector competence in Asia and particularly the Philippines. He served as Managing Director at the French Chamber of Conmerce in Manila to promote business relations between France and abroad, by livening up French-Foreign business community activities. As Business Support Manager he was the interface with French companies who had interest in the Philippines, providing services as research and information gathering, prospection, development, implementation, communication and promotion.

Jan-Erik Nilsson


Since graduating with a Master of Science in Industrial and Management Engineering at Linkoping University, Sweden in 1978, Mr. Nilsson has held a variety of progressively more senior positions in the telecommunications sector in Sweden, China, India, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Taiwan. Mr. Nilsson is currently the Executive Director to the Board of Far EasTone Telecommunications in Taipei, following a successful term as the company’s President and Vice Chairman from 2002 to 2012. Prior to this, Mr. Nilsson served as Senior

Executive Vice President at Satelindo (today Indosat) in Indonesia. Mr. Nilsson currently resides in Taipei, Taiwan, service as a private consultant while managing his responsibilities as Executive Director to the Board with Far EasTone Telecommunications in Taipei.

Colin ward


British Citizen – Colin is a graduate Electronics engineer with post graduate qualification in Business management. He is a highly experienced senior professional with wide ranging Commercial and Technical knowledge in a global environment. Over 29 years of experience with 16+ years in Asia. Colin has proven track record of building new business units and establishing Asia Pacific Operations for US and European companies covering Sales and marketing as well as technical operations. His Extensive network of contacts at the highest levels within Tier 1 Asia Pacific and Global CE brands and factories provide invaluable access to the market.

Oscar Jorman


holds a Masters of Science in Engineering from The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden and is also educated in marketing and project management. Oscar has 15 years of experience working in IT/Telecom as well as in the manufacturing industry mainly working with sales and marketing but also procurement and quality assurance.
